Project tasks are utilized in Capriccio Fuzion as a means of
delineating specific requirements of a given project. The application allows you
to use as many project tasks as you see fit, so there is no maximum number.
Project tasks are important for a variety of reasons, such as: the ability to
allocate revenue on a per task basis, establish a clear and concise work
breakdown structure, as well as utilize charge numbers to track time spent not
only on the project, but on project tasks as well.
Click the “Project Tasks (WBS)” tab located in the project
detail view. Create the task by clicking the "New Project Task" icon. This will
open a new project task detail view.
ProjectTask Detail View
There are no required fields on the project task detail view.
The following revenue fields appear in the detail view of a project
task:
Funded Amount -The only revenue field on the project detail view that can be edited by a user is the "Funded Amount" field. The"Funded Amount" field shows the total value of funds available for the specific project task.
Planned Revenue - The "Planned Revenue" field displays the amount of revenue that can be expected to be generated based on the specific charge numbers associated with the project task.
Remaining Revenue -This field displays the difference between the "Planned Revenue" amount and the "Actual Revenue" field.
Uncommitted Revenue - The "Uncommitted Revenue" field displays the difference between the "Funded Amount" and the "Planned Revenue" amount.
Actual Revenue - The "Actual Revenue"
field displays the amount that has been earned thus far, based on the current
charge numbers linked to the task and how many hours he been used in
corresponding timecard entries.
Besides funded amount, all revenue numbers are generated from the charge
number level.
If you utilize child tasks, the children will roll up to
the main task. This relationship can go down as many levels as necessary.
