When questions about the origin of our company come up, the usual guess is that one of founders is a Capriccio. The Italian connection is correct, but I have yet to meet this mysterious Mr. Capriccio. Capriccio is in fact an Italian word. Wikipedia defines it as a tempo marking indicating a free and capricious approach to the tempo (and possibly the style) of the piece; or a piece of music, usually fairly free in form and of a lively character. So it is a musical term, and there is a connection to music here. The two founders of the company, as well as several other early employees, were in the Marine Corp Band together. Even though we have all this musical talent, nobody has pulled out a trumpet or trombone in the office, yet.
