Capriccio Software updates Fuzion, the business automation solution for government contractors.
Capriccio Fuzion 10.1 adds expense reporting, enhanced proposal management, and proposal pricing, to the time tracking, project management, and CRM capabilities currently provided by Fuzion.
Fredericksburg, VA - 6/16/2010: Capriccio Software announced today the release of Capriccio Fuzion 10.1, the latest update to its business operations software for government contractors. With this release, Capriccio Software has significantly enhanced the functionality provided by Fuzion. Fuzion is a Software as a Service application used by government contractors to manage virtually all aspects of their business. By combining time and expense reporting, project management, proposal development, and customer relationship management in a single service, Fuzion allows small and mid-sized companies to utilize an integrated business management tool without the large upfront expenses and IT management challenges typically associated with ERP applications.

Key updates to Fuzion include:
Expense Reporting
Expense reporting provides a way for Fuzion customers to capture and apply direct costs against projects. The user friendly and flexible interface makes it easy for both users and administrators to apply expenses against either billable or overhead projects. US Government per-diem rates are automatically calculated based on the date and location of the expense incurred. Also included is a mileage log that is integrated with the timecard to encourage daily recording of travel data while facilitating timely billing and reimbursement.
Proposal Pricing and Management
The Proposal tool in Fuzion has been enhanced to enabled proposal managers to distribute the work effort of creating labor estimates and writing the proposal, while tracking progress in Fuzion. Later, when the proposal is complete, Fuzion collates all the sections and estimates into a single proposal document. Further, upon contract award, a single click converts the proposal to a billable project, complete with the work breakdown structure and individual labor assignments for each task. Customers can record a timecard entry against the project within seconds of clicking the "Convert To Project" button.
Timecards, Project Management, and Reporting
Numerous enhancements to the timecard and project management functions improve usability and workflow in Fuzion. Many of these enhancements originated as requests from Fuzion customers. Also included in Fuzion 10.1 are 15 new standard reports.
